I hope there is someone out there in computer land that
can help me. I just started using Windows XP Home Edition
and I'm having problems installing my HP OfficeJetG55 All-
in-one.
I can get the printer to work by adding the printer in the
Windows list of printers. However when I go to Photoshop
and try to import the HP OfficeJet G55 does not appear.
The computer is not recognizing the scanner at all. So I
went to HP and downloaded the correct drivers and
software. On to the next problem when I try to install the
correct software I get the following error message:
----------------------
UNABLE TO START THE APPLICATION--THE JAVA VIRTUAL MACHINE
CANNOT BE LOADED.
CLASS NOT REGISTERED.
----------------------
So I have studied and learned the Java problem that
Microsoft has had. So I went to Sun Microsystems and
downloaded there software. All my other Java applications
seem to work but I CANNOT get the scanner software to
download. What do I need to make it work???????
Thank you
