i recently noticed processor usage at idle was always 2,4,7, when it used to
be 0,2. loaded process explorer program and found it was system running 2,4
-when i scroll down in the lower pane for handles under system, besides the
other 100 things, there must be more than 500 "file _______\device\tcp"
handle lines listed. does anyone know if this is normal? with my limited
knowledge, the only thing i can think it would be for is for all the port
channels? awful lot of exact same lines

Hi,

A handle on TCP indicates some process is accessing (or trying to access)
the network. So what process? Try running ethereal to see what connections
are going on. www.ethereal.com
