After loading then unloading some software,
XP SP2 no longer sees 'avast pro' antivirus software.
I've unloaded and reload avast with no luck.

Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance!

You can just go into Security Center and under the Anti-virus
protection select that you will monitor software you have yourself.

This will stop the taskbar message from being displayed.

Yeah, I've done that. I'd just like to know what
XP doesn't like about the change in setup.

Thanks!

this article talks about the issue, somewhat not really to detailed.
check with avast would be the best bet.
