Problems running access databases, residing on 2003 Server, from XP Client.

1) If a database is already open by another user the application will not
run. Get no error messages either. How can we access already open databases?

2) If a database can be opened an 'open file security warning' window
appears from which we can access the database. How can we disable this window?

We only have this problem on our one and only XP client.
All other WIN 2000 clients do not have this problem.

Thank you.

I have the the same problem.

It started August 21 and I believe it was caused by one of the MS
Updates.

I have added the server name (unc) of the share where the MDB is stored
to the trusted site in Internet Explorer, Uncheck the "Require server
verification (https:) for all sites in this zone.

Good luck
Mark
