About 2 weeks ago I did some Windows critical updates for
XP. The computer worked fine immediately after the updates
but the next time I turned the computer on I noticed that
I had lost my WinXP taskbar colors (blue/green scheme) - I
went to Kelly's Korner and downloaded the luna theme but I
still do not get the WinXP option on the buttons and
settings on the Appearance section.
I've also lost my CD drive a few times since these updates
though I've been able to get it back using a patch from
Kelly's Korner (great site!).
I've also noticed that sometimes when I go online (Cable
modem) and turn off the browser to go back to my desktop
that my system tray and task bar becomes frozen and I
can't access anything, not even the start button. When I
check the task manager, it says that my CPU usage is at
100%. Never did this before the updates. The only way to
get the computer reset is to restart which gets old quick.
Any help anyone can offer would greatly be appreciated!!!!
