I'm new to Windows XP and am wondering if someone can tell
me how to remove a file from the Startup folder. In
Windows 98 a person could go to Start/Settings/Task Bar
and Start Menu and then add or delete items from the
Starup folder. This doesn't seem to be the case with XP.
I am wondering how to do this because I loaded Office 97
on this computer and am trying to figure out how to stop
the Office Taskbar from being put on my desktop when I
start the computer. Thank you.

Hello,

Open the Start menu and go to the Startup folder. Right-click on the
shortcut you wish to remove and select Delete.

Alternatively, right-click on the Start button, choose Open, browse to
the Startup folder, and delete the shortcut by selecting it and pressing
Delete on your keyobard.
