xp lock up on start up

When first turning on the computer, it will run through
start up then you will get a blue screen with your mouse
arrow stuck in tthe middle, no matter what you do it is
locked. I have to shut down and f8 into start up to get
in.

Don't know what to do.

How hot is it where you are? It could be your system is
overheating. Especially CPU. Try downloading MBM
