I have deleted a partition on my pc and am now trying to figure out how
to transfer the, (what use to be my D drive,) extra "free space" to my C
drive. How do I do this?

Thanks in advance,
Ken

You'll need some repartitioning software. Some of these types of software is
shareware and others types commercial. Partition magic is well known as well
as software from Paragon, and others.

Without 3rd party tools it requires 3 exact conditions to be meet. If the
existing partition is NTFS and the free space adjacent to the existing
partition and at the end of the drive then it's possible to use diskpart
while in recovery console from a CD boot to do what you want.
A number of 3rd party tools will do the job as well without being as
restrictive.

I hope you backed up the data before you deleted the partition. A fair
number of OEMs place the system restore stuff in that extra partition and do
not provide the data on CD.

Any technology distinguishable from magic is insufficiently advanced.
