I have downloaded a file which I would like to open and copy or work on. It
is in exe. How do I open it to work on? I can print it but it is 18 pages
long and would mean rewriting it all.

Thanks

An *.exe file is an executable, a binary file - a program. You can't
open it to work on it. I don't know what you mean by saying you can
print it. Please describe the file name better. Make sure you can see
its extension by unchecking "Hide extensions for known file types" in
the Control Panel Folder Options applet.

Then post back with the name of the extension like "myfilename.xxx".
We're interested in the letters that appear where I've typed the "x's".
