My new epson printer was connected to the computer using
USB cable and it worked fine for three days and therafter
it could not print any files. Each time I tried to print
a file a message pop-up : "Communication Error: check all
connections and make sure all devices are on."
I thought the printer driver was corrupted, so I
installed the driver again using the epson CD, but it
didn't work and the printer would not print at all.
Then I checked the USB port controller from device
manager and uninstalled the printer USB port and later I
installed again using the epson CD and it worked and the
printer is functioning again.
Now each time I started the computer I receive the pop-up
message on the desktop screen: "Epson Printerport: At
least one service or driver failed during startup. Use
event Viewer to examine the event log."
I checked the event Viewer and found on the event log
that Eplpdx02 service could not be started, although the
printer is doing fine and can print again.
How can I find out how to delete this annoying message
from popping-up again on the desktop?
I will appreciate very much for any advise.
thanks,
andre
