Hi,

I am trying to install Windows messenger 5.1 (for using SIP to connect to
chat) in my system (Windows XP SP2), but it is giving a typical error "A
network error occurred while trying to read from the file:
C:\Windows\Installer\Messenger[1].msi". I thought because of the MSN
messenger it is giving this error, so I uninstalled MSN messenger. Even after
that, I'm getting the same error. This is very critical for me. Pls help.

Make a copy of messenger.msi and rename it messenger[1].msi. Keep both copies
and run the original.
