Recovery Console Logon Problem

Hi,
i'm having a problem where I don't get the option to log
into the recovery console. It gives me a C: and when I
type "logon" it goes back to a C: again. When I try to
expand a file it tells me "access is denied". I'm stumped,
anyone got an answer for this one?

My Drive is NTFS so I have a administrator password, it
won't give me the option to enter it....

Did you install the Recovery Console.

No I am accessing it from the cd.
