New Hard Drive

[Coming_down]

I just bought a Western Digital WD800BB (or as Windows recognizes it "WDC
WD800BB-22JHCO") and installed it as a slave drive. Sure enough, my computer
reads it, and when I go to "Add New Hardware" it's in the list, saying it's
there, but when I go into "My Computer", it's just plain not there. SO. I'm a
little confused. Anyone have any idea's what's going on here?

If it helps; For some reason, my CD Drive, Primary Drive, and new hard drive
won't all work together at the same time. I can have my Prim. Drive and Cd
drive or my Prim. Drive and my new drive, but not all three, and of course
not without the primary drive.

You need to create a partition then format the hard drive. Go to: Control
Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Select "Disk
Management". Right-click the new hard drive and Create a partition and
format the partition.
