Event ID 7011 Messages and Computer Stops Responding
After You Install Windows XP by Using the Sysprep Utility

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Service Control Manager
Event ID: 7011
Description:
Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for a transaction
response from the AudioSrv service.

Does anyone know how to rectify this problem. The
knowledge base says to turn of -pnp with the Sysprep.exe.
I have no idea how to do something that complex as well
as locate that particular file... I don't see it on my
computer either.

Basically the description of this problem fits to a "T"
in the knowledge base. It takes up to 12 minutes for my
system to get started after turning it on. The event
manager shows this error.. the one above.

Please Assist.

To disable upnp:
1. Click on the Start button and select Run.
2. Then type Services.msc in the text box and click OK.
3. Once the services management counsel has loaded, scroll down the list of
services until you find Universal Plug and Play.
4. Right click on the service and select properties.
5. On the general tab you will notice a spot displays the start up type. By
default it is set to manual. This allows it to start up when ever the
service is called. We want to change the start up type to disable. This can
be done by selecting Disable from the drop down box.
6. Then click the OK button and close the services management console
7. Restart.
