I am desperate to find software that will work well with .VOB files. I have a
Sony camera that uses the mini disks and produces VOB files each time you
take a video snippet with my camera. I want to put the video from the mini
disks onto my hard drive and then produce home video DVD's.
As of now, it looks like there is no way to use vob's with Movie Maker. Is
that right? I have converted some VOB's to AVI's but this is an enormously
time consuming project and uses an enormous amount of disk space. Please help!

WinDVD Creator (Intervideo) and PowerDirector (Cyberlink) are just two that
can recognize and edit VOBs.

Just confirming these on my desktop:
Cyberlink's PowerDirector v5 YES
Intervideo's WinDVD Creator v3 No, won't 'see' the file
Roxio v8 No, won't 'see' the file
