mptask.exe is missing

I keep gitting a error MPTASK.EXE not found at startup.

MPTASK.exe can not be found using search.


Do I need this or is this part of a virous?

Visit the following site for some help with the Trojan, BackDoor-AOT, which
created the file;

The following is a quote from the above site;

"A copy of the trojan is saved to the %SysDir% directory as MPTASK.EXE and a
registry run key is created"
