Boot Sector Information

I am planning to install 98 over XP and my C drive is NTFS, I am using
partition magic 8. I need to know what is the name and location of the boot
file in XP that contains the boot sector information which can be used in
case of a boot failure. I want to be careful and not loose the XP that I
already have. Can someone please help?

Windows 98 cannot be installed on a partition formatted NTFS.
It will only install on a FAT32 partition.
