View Full Version : Problem with accessing flash cartoons.

Desperate

Whenever I try to access a site that automatically starts a player, an
outline appears around the box and I cannot access any options in the window
before I click someone on the picture. Example, if I access
Homestarrunner.com, an outline will be around any page I access, and I must
click each time. This is only an example, not the exception to the rule. Note
that it will say "Click to activate or use this control" whenever I pass the
mouse over it.

This started after downloading some windows updates way back in ether March
or May. I was able to revert the computer back using system restore which
took out the updates, but a new Norton antivirus program was recently
installed on my computer, which accidently installed all the updates I had
been blocking. System Restore is no longer a viable option because I cannot
exclude Norton from the process.

I've tried near everything to locate the problem. I've e-mailed Emachine
support several times, I've gone over my computer looking for an option that
looks like it will disable whatever causes me to need to click on the window
before anything else can go on, and today I found that I can remove updates
with the control panel. Despite doing this, the problem persists. There has
to be some way to take it out. It's not virus related, as my programs have
not picked anything up despite it happening over half a year ago. Any help
will be greatly apperciated.
