Having a similar problem.. justed download SP1 on XP pro
whole sys slowed down and it Win Explorer freezes when I
try to Right Click and/delete a file or folder..
Tried Sys restorer prior to update no luck,ran chkdsk -
all is fine. My GUess.. will have to FLatline Hard drive
and clean install EVERYTHING is my guess - (ugh) I hate
Microsoft! Unless by miracle I can Uninstall Service pack
and it miraculously works... Still chatting with tech
support (unfortunatley It's OEM with Gateway, but they
seem clueless. (surprise) Good luck to you
