HDD light activity when drive is idle.

My question, is why does my hdd light always flicker
indicating some activity even when the drive is idle? I
have noted that many, many people have questioned this.
Does anyone have an answer about this and is there any
way to fix this issue.

This issue if related to virus activity should be easily
fixable. Even if the problem invovles the hdd boot
sector.

Please send feedback on this matter and advice that you
may have.
