Hi, I had a hard drive go bad, so I had to reinstall
XP pro, Since then I can work with memory hogs like
photoshop with ease same as before.
But when I'm using explorer either on line or for file
management it freezes the whole system and I have to shut
down with power button (dell inspiron laptop).
It also freezes at shut down whenever I make a
preferences change to explorer (disable error javascript
messages) or XP like changing amount of time to sleep.
I've run the windows search and fix bad files utility--no
effect. I've unistalled and reinstalled ie--no effect.
I can surf and even work on sites with asp but the minute
I go to read email Freeze!!!
1. freezes on email. 2. freezes on shut down.
This can't just be me.
