Is it at all possible to make it so that Word
automatically starts up every time the computer is turned
on? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

You can start any program you want automatically at boot. Just
put a shortcut to it in C:\Documents and Settings\Your User
Name\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
