Regedit.exe won't stay loaded

When I type regedit.exe or regedt32.exe from RUN in
Windows XP, I see the editor on my screen for a split
second then it disappears. How do I get the editor to
stay on my screen? Many Thanks ... Greg

w32.spybot worm disables NAV, Msconfig, Regedit and Task Manager:

Try this to:

Rename regedit.exe to regedit.com then:

Download then Merge the edit on line 251 then delete all the files mentioned
in the above link.
