Hi,

Well after i got and removed blaster i decided to
download all the critical and windows updates
that "Windows Update" suggested(Yes there was alot of
them). I didnt like what Net framework 1.1 did to my XP
so i removed it. But im still having alot of glitches
since I downloaded all those updates. I was wondering if
1 or more of the updates could be causing my problems. Is
there anyway I can scan my machine and remove all
the "Updates" I DON'T need? Im not on a Network I use a
dialup on a Dell "home" PC.

Thanx for any help,
Wade

From my experience with Windows Updates, try uninstalling these three
updates:

1. Security Update 811493 (this fix was supposed to have been "fixed" but
still turns my PC into a disaster area!)
2. Patch for Internet Explorer (822925)
3. Security Update for Outlook Express (330994)

I've tried these three updates numerous times and they were responsible for
slowing up my computer considerably.
They should all show up in Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs.

I have all three installed and have no problems whatsoever. My
conclusion therefore; it is not the updates causing the problem but
something else. Hardware difference, memory, memory size etc. Care to do
a system match to try to determine cause?
