Is there a way to use Messenger to send messages between computers in a LAN?

Greetings,
I'm afraid not, at least not without a local SIP-based communications service or Exchange IM

In my previous house I had 5 pcs networked and I used a LAN Messenger program that would allow the family to converse ie: tell the kids it was dinner time.
You can get it from:-
