>Have you checked for a update for your system BIOS at the
motherboard maker's web site yet ? You install the new
BIOS files onto a floppy disk, and reboot to it and flash
the BIOS. Also I would run a diagnostic test on the RAM,
as your PC may have a bad memory module. And add more RAM
too, as 256 MB is the minimum for XP. Here is a site for a
