When I "accept" a remote assitance request, I get the following message in
the "Remote Assistance" window "Remote Assistance connection disconnected.
Please try again."

I've shut down all firewalls, virus programs, adware/spyware programs, pop
up blockers, and stil can't get it to make the connection. I'm doing this
on the house LAN with both computers conncted to the router via ethernet
cable. If I initiate a "Remote Assistance" request from the other computer
it works just fine. I'm runninig XP Pro on both machines.

Any help sure would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Don

check the computer where remote assistance is sent.

Control Panel --> System --> Remote

Enable Remote Assistance

hope it works

Thanks a bunch, that was the problem. It sure is nice having knowledgeable
people like yourself around to help a guy.

Thanks again,
Don
