I am trying to run a GWBASIC program on XP. I know this
is possible and have run it on a collegues XP Pro, but
when I try to run it on mine:

1. Direct access runs the procram in a small window.

2. When accesed through a batch file the program "hangs".

I tried contacting "Microsoft" be email but they did not
reply. Can anyone help?

To solve the problem with the program running in a window, right click on
the gwbasic.exe file and select properties.

From there you will find options on how you want windows to work with the
program. In this case you would want to set it to open in a full screen. You
could also press alt+enter when gwbasic is running in a window.

Resize the window, right click the titlebar, choose properties, then =
look at the font, screen, and layout tabs. Font and layout between them =
work out the window size while screen page toggles between full screen =
and window.
