I wanted to backup my entire system (data, programs, O/S,
settings, etc.), but when I went to System Tools in
Accessories, the Backup utility wasn't there. I have my
upgrade disc for Windows XP (Home Edition), but when I
tried to recover the Backup utility from the disc and
install it, I couldn't figure out how to do it. How do I
recover and install this utility? Do I need to use my
Windows 98 disc?

Bill;
Do not use Backup from the Windows 98 CD, it is not compatible.
Install NTBACKUP this way:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=302894
If Windows XP is OEM, you may or may not have the files.
In that case you will need to get a 3rd party application if a back-up
utility is desired.
