SCANDISK not in XP Home

where is SCANDISK in Win XP Home edition?
Disk cleanup is not the same thing.
Is there a patch that can be downloaded to get SCANDISK
OR SIMILAR TO SCAN & REPAIR ANY DAMAGE TO HARD DRIVE?

go to MyComputer and rightclick on your C drive - click propeties.
There should be a tab there marked Tools.... there you'll be able to check
for errors
