I have a Dell Latitude running XP professional. After
encountering problems with PowerPoint I reinstalled
Office XP. This did not correct the problem. I moved
all documents (over 60,000) to the modular drive and
reinstalled XP Pro on the fixed drive. Now XP does not
recognize the modular drive.
When I run diagnostics on the drive, it passes all tests.
Computer management screen reports that the drive is
functioning properly.
Disk Managment list the drive as present but "foreign".
According to help, I should be able to right click on the
drive and "import foreign drive". However, when I right-
click it states "Convert to basic drive" and does not
give me the option to import.
Properties in disk management show it as a dynamic drive
with volume status of foreign, capacity 0, unallocated
space 0 and reserved space 0.
How can I get XP to recognize the drive again?
Thanks
