i can't defrag my computer; defragment only cause computer
to reboot with disc check for erorr every time i try to
defrag. i have WindowME upgrade to WindowXP-Pro.

Do a complete Scandisk of you Drive. Then try defrag in Safe Mode.

The only thing that can cause a crash of the system is a hardware issue or a
faulty driver. I would suggest that you boot into Safe mode and defragment
from there. If you are able to without the system crashing, then you have a
driver that isn't playing well.
