Hello,

I have a USB device for which I have obtained its appropriate drivers -
..INF, .SYS and .CAT files. The driver is signed, that is ok.

I would like to PREinstall the driver on client computers so that when users
first connect their usb devices they do not get the "found new hardware"
message requiring them to provide drivers. Users are only "domain users".

I CAN distribute anything by using a startup script or MSI package so that
the membership is not the problem, but how to PREinstall the drivers?

Many thanks.

Have you tried right clicking the inf file and selecting install?

Yes, I have.

But when the device is inserted, the system still wants me to provide the
drivers. So I assume the driver has not been installed "enough".
