Programs stop responding

Programs running under XP stop responding after a short
period (5 mins) of inactivity. I sometimes get the option
to send an error report (Do they actually review all of
the ones I send?). This problem does not seem to occur in
other versions of Windows. It happens when our Access 97
program is running and also happens saving files in Word.
Sometimes when the Window is selected in the task bar at
the bottom the focus is restored to the Window and no
error occurs. In this case it simply is an annoyance.

If you have the Office CD then I would uninstall Office from the
Add/Remove Programs. Restart. Restart again and then
reinstall Office.
