If anyone could give me a little advice I'd really appreciate it. This one
has stumped me.

Issue: While booting, the windows logo with the scrolling blue bar below it
appears like it always does, but this time instead of going from this point
to the login screen there's a flicker and then a stop error.

Error Message (Abbreviated):
The problem seems to be caused by the following file: nv4_disp
STOP: 0x000000EA

Failed troubleshooting attempts:
*using last known good configuration

*Using other video cards, both agp and pci. It seems that whenever any other
video card is installed the computer won't even load the bios. The fans start
whirring and that's as far as the boot process goes. I tried turning hardware
acceleration off and taking out the BIOS battery for 15min but that still
didn't get the PCI graphics card to work.

There are no onboard graphics so I can't try to update the drivers with this
graphics card disconnected. Also, I have no rescue disk to try and reinstall
any drivers.

Is there a way I'd be able to use the recovery console? I know I can get
into that but I just don't know how to use it.

Here are my computer specs:

Windows XP SP2
Mobo: K7N2 Delta
RAM: 1GB
Graphics card: GeForce FX5600
CPU: Athlon XP 1500

you could try booting in safe mode and removeing the nvidia drivers reboot
in safe mode again and install different nvidia drivers,

you never know, it might work.

First of all, I don't know if you guys get paid for this stuff or not but I'd
really like to thank you for trying to help me fix my problem. I and I'm sure
a lot of other people really appreciate it.

Next topic. I forgot to mention in the last email that when I boot up in
safe mode the computer will load to the point where the mouse arrow is
located in the screen center, along with the windows version listed in all
four corners. However, nothing happens after this--it just hangs.
