Hey,
I am experiencing a similar problem. I will get an
explorer crash and then it restarts and doesn't load all
of the system tray icons. In the Event Viewer,
under "Applications", I get the message "The shell has
stopped unexpectedly, and Explorer was restarted". I have
no idea what is causing this and I too have all of the
latest updates. It just quits from time to time. The
desktop icons and taskbar will disappear briefly and then
come back. Again, without all of the systray icons
loaded. Good luck finding the cure for this. Let me know
if you find anything and of course I will do likewise.
