XP is still taking 90 seconds to load registry and
pagefile (according to bootvis). I cannot find
pagefile.sys on my PC. It is set in VM settings to be 336-
672 in size. I have searched for it (including hidden
files etc.)
Can I re-create it?
Any help?
Thanks
Derek

Make sure in your view settings to show protected operating system files.
Then you will see it in the root directory. To recreate it, set to no page
file, reboot, then set up page file again.

The pagefile.sys is always in the root and Windows always creates a
pagefile.sys during the boot if it is not there unless you have set the no
paging file option.
You will not see the file, nor will a search find it, if you do not uncheck
the "Hide protected operating system files" in the folder options.
