Messenger do not show the correct font

Hope somebody in here can give me an answer.

I have change my font in Messenger to different size and colour, but
now I can't see the font I'm using on my screen - I just se the
plain ordinary font.
The users I'm writing with see the correct font, but not me... what
can have happened?

Greetings,

Do you have Messenger Plus installed? If so, click the Plus! menu (or press Alt-U if its
hidden), and make sure Override Contact's Font isn't selected.

Hey Jonathan,

Thank for your answer, but I don't have Plus installed so thats not the
problem... do you have another suggestion?

After you mentioned Plus I tried to install it to see have it worked,
after doing that I got my font problem solved... don't now have, but it
works :-)
