In a flash screens disappear

Hi...Whenever I try to use Ctrl+Alt+Del , the Task
manager window appears and then diappears within a
second. The same is happening when I am trying to open an
application on GRE, which I loaded from a CD ROM which I
received from ETS. The screen appears and disappears in a
second.
The same GRE application is running fine on another
computer. Could you please help me in solving this
problem....
