pci input device

fresh system build p4 running xp.
tried to install a ali 4 port 2.0 usb hub that was not on
the hcl list.
have since removed it from the system. yet on a restart
windows still gives me a found new hardware box "pci
input device" on the slot that it was installed.
can not remove with software that came with unit due to
window that says nothing was loaded due to xp sp1 all
ready being installed.
any suggestions for stopping this.

WXP does not support USB 2.,0 until SP1.
