can't work with cd-rw.......

help......my windows xp sp2 was doing just fine but now it won't
recognize or copy to the cd-rw drive but Sonic RecordNow does just
fine. thing is, i need to go into the cd from windows to pull off
files, etc. please help me figure it out.........
