anytime that i try to play video of any sort the program will freeze up then
my computer freezes up, all types .wmv .mpeg .mov, etc. & players windows
media player 10, quicktime, etc.

video usually seems to work if streamed using firefox web browser and video
in games seem to work just fine.

Please help this issue is the most frustrating issue i've ever experienced
in my entire life, and i;m hoping there's a solution that doesn't include my
formating my entire computer or having to spend any money.

I'm desperate PLEASE HELP!

Thank You in advance!

It sounds like a codec issue.... and one where you have far too many codec
'packs' installed on your PC. Have you knowingly downloaded and installed
any of these?

Uninstall the Elecard DVD decoder and consider the DIVX codecs
(www.divx.com) for AVI files. If you want to play DVDs, then consider the
Intervideo DVD codec or the nVidia Pure decoder.
