Hi there,

I'm in need of some help. I've attached my VGA cord to both my plasma tv and
my laptop, it seems that they both work fine, eg. I can see exactly the same
thing on both my laptop and my tv but when I go to play a cd on the laptop
the image only comes up on the laptop screen and not my tv. The image on the
laptop is on the tv screen except for what the 'movie' i'm playing is...
i hope that made sense and i hope someone can help me..

thanks heaps..

Go to Control Panel /Display ... click on the settings tab. You should see
both your laptops monitor and the TV monitor .... You probably would want to
make sure that Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor is checked for
your TV .. This will make it work as a separate monitor which you can get to
by moving your mouse in the direction the monitor is set up in Display
properties (if you TV monitor is showing up in display properties on the
left of the laptop monitor then you would move your mouse to the left and as
it leaves the laptop monitor you should see it on the TV monitor) .. then
just open the video ... drag it to the TV monitor and maximize it there.

You may have to play with the advanced settings ... if you find something
that allows you to change how the monitors react like clone, dualview, or
horizontal span .. you would want to use DualView

sorry I cant be more specific
