I managed to get my computer infected with 3 viruses. I
got rid of two. But have a problem with the third.
I ran 3 different virus scans. One scanner said my
computer was fine, the other two AVG and Symantec both
say I have a virus, but both give me a different name.
Symantec says it is W32.Randex.E I've been following the
removal info but it hasn't worked. The files I am
supposed to delete are still there.
Then AVG says that the nstask32.exe (1 of the files
Symantec says is a virus) AVG says it isn't a virus, it's
OK. But that C:\\WWINDOWS\SYSTEM32\win32sockdrv.dll is
infected and can't be moved or contained. It has the
backdoor.SdBot.MJ virus Can I delete this file without
damamging my computer?

One more thing. I tried to run another Symantec scan this
evening and part way through, twice, everything stopped
and I got a blue error screen. What is going on and how
can i fix it.

Thanx

Leanne;
Removal instructions for the viruses.
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/backdoor.sdbot.html
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.randex.e.html

nstask32.exe is part of w32randex virus, delete it.
If necessary, reboot to Safe Mode and delete it.
Reboot, tapping F8 each second, select Safe Mode at the menu.

After this is resolved:
Install an antivirus application
Update it weekly
Scan for viruses weekly.

Install or enable a firewall IMMEDIATELY:
