Audio Problem - Drivers will not reinstall

Hi - I made a mistake and unistalled my soundmax. This seems to have uninstalled the drivers for my ASUS - P4S533MX mother board with SIS7012 Audio device. I tried to reinstall the drivers and get a strange (-536870397) error. I have also tried downloading new drivers from several sites and they will not install. I am running Windows XP and any advice and suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks...Ronnie
