Service Pack 1 and internet

I recently installed XP SP1. Now whenever I connect to the
internet I get disconnected a minute or two later. If I
connect with a manual connection I can stay on but when I
open either MSN browser or IE6 I get disconnected.l There
is no error message involved it simply drops the
connection. Anyone have any ideas?
