I am running Windows XP Professional on a Dell Dimenssion
8250. On 8-18 I updated my BIOS to version A04. Since
then Windows will not shutdown when I try to reatart my
computer. It shuts down just fine when I turn off the
computer. Also since 8-18 Windows has failed to boot at
least three times when I turn on my computer in the
morning (it has never done this before). Dell had me do
a repair installation of XP but that did not fix the
problem. So now Dell says I need to do a complete
reinstall which I would really rather not do since I
just did one two months ago. Does anyone out there have
any other ideas?
