I just installed the full version windows xp home edition and I am trying
uninstall it. I put it on my new hard drive but it won't let me uninstall it
without getting a new activation code or reformat my hard drive. Is there any
way to reformat the hard drive without having to call to get a new activation
code until I reinstall it again?

Boot from the XP CD, choose to delete the partition(s). Then, when ready to
install again, boot from whatever OS you like and proceed with recreating
partition(s) and formatting.

You don't need an activation code to uninstall XP. Just format the volume
or delete the partition XP's installed on. This can be done from the
installation CD. Follow the steps for a clean install, when it gets to the
part about where you want to install, tell it to either format or delete the
current partition. Use the license key that came with the XP CD, but don't
actually install XP.
