when turning on laptop for first time i was prompted to create user accounts.
I therefore created 4 all with administrator rights. I have deleted all but
one. However there a file left in my documents for one of the deleted users
which holds the documents file for the user account i wish to keep ie.
c/docs&settings/DEBORAH/lens docs. I am unable to delete DEBORAH - message
saying it is a programme file and cannot be deleted. I have used system
restore but it took me back to all four accounts. files in lens docs are
also in my docs. can anyone help - is it possible to delete all accounts and
start again. many thanks

Login to safe mode.
Under safe mode login as Administrator.
Open Windows Explorer and delete it from there.
Hope this helps

It best not to delete accounts, just make them in-active.
As for copying or deleting a specific file: Access is Denied Error Message:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/810881

Also read this MS KB article about how to take ownership of files.

Right after the computer reboots, there is a beep.
At that point, start tapping the F* key.
That will give you a boot menu, select safe mode
