Shut Down Hangs

I read in the help section about shut down hanging, but
that was for when message "Saving Settings" was there.

I get past that, then to Windows is now shutting down,
but it is frozen until i turn off the juice and then turn
it back on again.

I have had the computer for less then a month, and
running Windows xp
